homg I feel like this everytime I see one exploding across cyber space in the art community (屮゚Д゚)屮
Recently, everytime I log into my deviantART or Facebook account, there'll always be disputes being displayed and spattered across the web page in forms of journals or status and such. Sometimes it's about this person saying things about the other or the occasional typical Ego measuring War between Community figures or on some occasions, something so petty blown out of proportion that in the end it just makes everyone look like tantrum throwing 3 year old children.
To tell you the truth, usually I'd just close the window or move on to whatever it was I came online for, but as of late as another new dispute involving a artist I follow, exploded across the deviantART community, it seems to be harder and harder to avoid all the 'Dorama' that is happening around here.
After reading about what was actually going on, I felt even more assured that it's just a waste of time to even reason with either sides let alone take sides (which I notice most people are doing after following their disputes). This particular dispute wasn't exempted from all the disputes and DArama that has happened all the years before and could definitely be cut short if either or both sides decide to actually deal with it like adults by taking it into a private talk (like msn or email) or just ignoring the other party entirely. By fueling each other with rants via journals are not only meaningless but it also simultaneously make the artist like a hormonal 13- year-old.
Personally though, I pity those who got themselves involved with useless drama like these. ( ̄へ ̄) It's different if both sides actually could genuinely learn something from it, but most of the time the only thing that's battered in cases like these are their Egos, and if it doesn't contribute to your success in whatever you do or more importantly as a human being, it's a waste of time. You're better off doing anything but that. Read a book, help a friend, call your parents if you haven't talk to them this week. Anything. Why can't people focus more on Love rather than Hate most of the time when things like these happen?

yeap. they're bored. got nothing to do. you know, like watching dramas, people get hooked on this sort of thing. i guess it's too much of following the "heart" instead of the "mind". If they chose "mind" they'd do it outside of communities like that.
ReplyDelete=__= tu yang kesian tu lawl. I dunno who to pity more; the people involved in the drama or the ringside audience who treat it like it's some cage fight wrestling match lawl.
